As AAUW members, we believe in equality and equal opportunity for all.  We work from the grassroots all the way up to the federal level to support both policies and laws that enable women’s success.  Our goals include advancing gender equity, closing the wage gap, providing paid sick time as well as paid parental leave, protecting our pregnant workers, and curtailing sexual harassment.

Gender Pay Gap:  Did you know that the difference in earnings between men and women has barely closed in the last TWO decades!  In 1982, women earned .65¢ to each $1.00 earned by men.  In 2022, women were typically earning .82¢ to each $1.00 earned by men.  Click the icon to learn more!
